Jonathan Tschaikowski is a designer, visual artist and artistic researcher working at the intersection of fashion, scenography and visual culture. His practice examines fashion as a constructed system: shaped by staging, image production, editorial logic, institutional framing and material processes.
Through performative formats, exhibitions and narrative structures, his work investigates how fashion produces visibility, authority and value, and how these mechanisms can be exposed and reconfigured from within.
Jonathan completed his Master’s degree in Fashion Design at the University of the Arts Bremen in 2023. His graduation project, (Ent-)Mystification of Fashion – On the Demonstration of the Self, explored fashion as an immersive and scenographic experience, combining garments, performance, sound and spatial staging.
His work has been presented in exhibitions, performances and fashion contexts including Berlin Fashion Week, the Oberstdorfer Fotogipfel and institutional exhibition formats.
In 2025 & 26 he worked as Interim Creative Director at Morbach Group, focusing on visual systems, cross-brand communication and the development of a new social media layout.
Alongside his practice, he is interested in teaching and research-based approaches to fashion and visual culture, with a long-term perspective towards an academic career.
